Specializing in the use of tailored ABA treatment

Nurturing the unique potential of your child

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapeutic approach that involves breaking down complex behaviors into smaller parts to understand and modify them successfully. ABA therapy focuses on changing behavior in socially significant ways that improve the person’s quality of life. It is commonly used to treat individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.

ADVANTAGES OF ABA

  1. Evidence-based: ABA is a well-established therapy that has been extensively researched and evaluated over the years, with scientific evidence suggesting that it is an effective form of intervention.
  2. Individualized: ABA is highly individualized, meaning that interventions are tailored to the unique needs, strengths, and challenges of every individual.
  3. Targeted: ABA targets specific behaviors and skills that are essential for functional independence and success, such as communication, socialization, self-care, and academic skills.
  4. Goal-oriented: ABA operates on a goal-setting system through which progress is tracked, and outcomes are measured. This makes it easier for parents and therapists to determine whether or not the therapy is working.
  5. Systematic: ABA uses a systematic approach to intervention that involves breaking down complex skills into smaller, more manageable steps.
  6. Positive reinforcement: ABA emphasizes the use of positive reinforcement techniques to encourage and reinforce desirable behaviors.
  7. Family involvement: ABA encourages family involvement, helping parents understand their child’s behavior and how to support their growth.
  8. Transferable skills: The skills learned through ABA can transfer to all aspects of life, including school, work, and social situations.
  9. Personal empowerment: ABA can help individuals with behavioral and developmental challenges gain the skills and confidence needed to become more independent and successful in life.
  10. Early intervention: ABA is most effective when started early, even as young as 2 years old. Early intervention has been shown to lead to better outcomes for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.
